We begin every comprehensive eye exam with a full patient history. Patients simply look into the device one eye at a time, similar to looking through a keyhole, and see a brief, comfortable flash of light as the retinal image is captured in under half a second, ready to view immediately. Dilation drops are not always necessary; your eye care practitioner will determine whether they’re needed based on the health of your eyes.
